What information do we collect from you?

When you sign up for one of our services or post a listing record, we specifically ask for information about you including name, address, and/or phone number. We will collect credit card information to bill you for this, and other services authorized by you from time to time. The submission of any property listing to the PropEx Public Listing Service will be subject to our terms and conditions. 

Propex may track the IP address of your computer or place a "cookie" in your browser files. This will only be required to provide automated features such as repeated log-in or, for administrative services. Some parts of the Propex site may use an order form for you to request optional services.

Children's guidelines: We believe it especially important to protect children's privacy online. We define "children" as minors younger than 13.  We do not knowingly collect or use any personal information from children. We do not knowingly allow children to register with us, order services, or participate in any promotional activities.  We encourage parents to get involved with their children's online usage and to be aware of the activities in which they participate. Registrants must be 18 years of age to list property on this website. 

How do we use the information we collect?

Propex.com may perform statistical analyses of user behavior in order to measure the interest in the various areas of our site, for development purposes, and to inform advertisers and partners about consumer 'hits' on their advertising or other messages.  

Personal information may be used to contact users for the purpose of research, product development, marketing, or customer service. Users may be deleted from email lists at their request. IP address and cookie log data is analyzed to better understand traffic flows and user preferences.

E-mail: Using the email addresses provided by registrants, Propex.com, its advertisers, affiliates, partners, or third parties may periodically send promotional email or communicate directly with you.  By registering for a service, you agree that Propex.com may contact you by email regarding account status,  changes to the registrant agreement, and to confirm registration.  In addition, if you provide your email address or other contact data in connection with a request for product information, Propex.com, an advertiser, partner,  affiliate,  or third parties, as applicable, will use that information to contact you.

Our relationship with affiliates and partners

Propex.com maintains a relationship with several business partners.  Certain of those affiliates or partners have web pages that are branded with our trademarks or the trademarks of our business partners.  You may visit us through a co-branded page. 

With whom do we share the information we collect?

Unless explicitly stated, Propex uses personally collected information for internal purposes only.

From time to time, Propex may obtain information (such as electronic mail addresses) from third party providers. It is our goal to only contact individuals who we believe may have a legitimate business interest in Propex based on their membership or participation in other organizations or web sites, and who have indicated a willingness to be contacted for this purpose. 

Does this privacy statement extend to links to other sites? 

This site contains links to other sites.  While we encourage our affiliates and business partners to adopt privacy policies that build user trust and confidence in the Internet, we are not responsible for the privacy practices or the content of  Web sites linked to any of our sites.  We may also allow third parties to sponsor promotions and sweepstakes through our site. Use of any personal information provided to such a third party will be governed by that party's privacy policy.

While Propex endeavors to work with other sites and companies with a similar respect for user privacy, Propex cannot be responsible for the privacy practices of other sites.

Security of personal information 

Propex's clients and their personal information are considered to be Propex's greatest asset and thus their privacy is treated with the utmost regard and respect. Propex takes every reasonable precaution to secure personal information within both it's computers and its physical premises.

Opting-out, editing, updating or deleting personal information

Users who do not wish to receive future mailings from Propex are requested to contact Propex at 46 Orchard Street Asheville NC. Please indicate what mailing lists you wish to be excluded from. Editing, updating or deleting of personal information in the Propex PLS database may also be handled by contacting Propex Administration at 828-252-3040 and requesting the necessary changes.

Public records

Public records consist of  tax assessor records, deed transfers, plat recordings, and other documents. County governments are required by law to provide this information to the public under the Freedom  Of  Information Act established by Congress.  These records are on file at your county courthouse and may be viewed by anyone.  Propex Town Square may periodically link to your counties public records.
